Chatto you are certainly entitled to your opinion as we all are. But for the sake of argument how do you suppose can the GMs monitor this game, after all that is part of their duty and responsibility unless we all speak one language in world chat? Most players have enough opportunities to speak in the language they like via PM chat, private PMs, current chat as well as regional chat and English is only required in "one" chat, in Word channel.

Whether you like it or not, English IS the language that most people can communicate with nearly anywhere in this world. A lot of countries even teach English in their High schools on a mandatory basis.

i know its their duty, but saying that we only have harmony in the game if we speak english is kinda um..i donno, sounds rly wrong...and i know english is the world language asi been to english school myself, i live in dubai... but still..as my previous example, how would you feel if you joined a lets say japanese game, with an ok english community but the rest were japanese.. and then one day they tell you "hey, from now on japanese only" would you actually like that?..i dont think you guys even think about how much this sucks for non-english speaking ppl

What kind of argument is that? I wouldn't even dream of playing a Online game who's language i don't speak or understand, where is the fun in that?
If I lived in Japan or any other foreign country for that matter I would learn the language and speak it in RL as well as in an Online game and i would certainly respect the rules of that game, what ever they may be. As they say "when in Rome do as the Romans do".

first of all, forgive me, GM’s and mods and to the rest of the players, and I know my friend katharina will be disappointed by my reply here, im sorry kath, I tried to reach within me, but my sword’s trembling to be unsheathed…now even the sense of grammatical correctness has left me....
I can always tolerate any forms of dishonour but I CANT tolerate someone who's trying to bring down the togetherness of the community where i enjoy have friends, where i love the GM's attending the players like close friends...damn...

Tsk...seriously, you re still lingering on this topic of English World Chat rule? I mean it has been debated for quite sometimes now and may  i ask you: did you try to meditate on this topic?

Seriously dude, you are a grown up but do you realise that you talked your points without a deep thought on them? Tsk.

Let me ask. You were saying, in the pasts, that the rule should be changed, so if that is really the case of your points, it SHOULDN’T lead you to say “…Is this game American or English?.... as far as i know its made in China..so lets all learn Chinese then...”  Just look at how unstable your points are.
THE GM’S, let me repeat this so this hits into your head,
THE GM’S…ARE…trying to initiate a system or a way of doing and going for the players here so that everyone got the same capacity of actions and reactions, chances and environments. This what we call harmony, everyone have the same path to go, same rule to follow, no sense of disorder.

But chatto, now you are becoming the icon of unstable atmosphere here.

I dont mean to be personal but i think i have to ,cus i want the GM's to know that at least, at the most least, there's one player here who will stay abide to the rules. I am so disappointed at you chatto cus youre still being persistent about this topic, if youre know what youre doing chatto, if youre really think that your self-defense is worthy of praise, worthy of recognition of the GM's, worthy of moments of thoughts, then answer me: did you think twice before you post your complaints so that you won't ruin the togetherness in this community?  Ive watched the whole things about your points and action. Its not wrong for being persistent. Only it is stupid, especially for a grown up, to be like this. If you are really that persistent to speak your opinions, and that you know your points are true, why didn’t you choose to send pm  about your opinions to the GM’s, so that the GM's can look into your opinion more private and clearer?why must you bring this open again and again? if you did send pm to them, then why would you post here again?what is your intention actually???

Yes. We can be open. Being open in thought and speech are crucial parts of life. But the same thing goes to togetherness too. A wise man who knows and confident he is wise, will consider the emotional situation of the air, before he tries to let others see what does he mean with what he will say.

You think I'm being on off-topic? Think again. Cause I don’t the see the main point of yours trying to change the rule for the better. I thought you did try to change it for the better, I really respect your points and you yourself cus even though our opinions differ, you still brave to show yourself and make others see what you mean…, but as time goes, and as I notice you aren’t here playing ZO as often as you used too anymore, I deduce that youre just reviving this topic to disgrace ZO. I'm sorry Chatto but I have to agree with Noel, this is getting to be ridiculous. What difference does it make whether the game is made in America, China, Japan or what ever?
There are actually 2 versions of ZO and I'm sure you know this. A Chinese version and this one. Now why do you suppose that is? I'll tell you why, one version for the Chinese/Asien population and  I assume the main language being spoken there is most likely Chinese.
The second version, the one you and I play is being made available for the western population of the world. This game is a business for the owner and as such I'm sure they would like this game to keep growing, that the number of players keep increasing in the western world thus the need for English.

Fact is this game is run on an American Server, with a clientèle from many countries in Europe, the Middle East, USA, Australia, just to name a few, not just the Far East. So lets keep this game "harmonious" as GM Marla put it and not split hairs, shall we?

Hello Marla,
you did ask to make Screenshots of people who don't adhere to the "only English in World Chat rule".
Well I've noticed since the new version of ZO the normal way of taking Screenshots by clicking on the "print" key of my laptops keyboard doesn't work. Usually I would get a message in my battle history on the bottem right of my screen after taking a Screenshot, mentioning the date/time it was taken and then it would be placed in my ZO Folder -> Printscreen folder automatically.
Now I get this weird message (see attached Screenshot) and I wonder why I get this message. Also there is no Screenshot in said folder, so I have to take a Screenshot via copy and paste method and put it in that folder manually.
