Happy New Year to every Zodiac Online player! In celebration of the coming new year, Zodiac Online is giving a ‘hot strike‘ chance to break the chilliness!
From PDT 3:00 Dec 24, 2010 to PDT 23:59 Jan 14 2011, all players can update their client to a New Year Hot Strike Edition or download the same new client manually! Let’s see what kind of fever we are going to have in this new edition:
Game 1: The Eggbeaters!
During the period above, all players over level 20 can take a Christmas Gift Bag every day at the Fairy of Wish (224, 294 in Cloud City). In this bag you may find a Golden Egg 
with a Golden Hammer 
, or a Silver Egg 
with a Silver Hammer 
. With the hammers you can break the eggs open to see what is inside!
In a Golden Egg you may find:
A random class 1 skill resetter
A random class 2 skill resetter
A pet skill book!
Other VIP items including Weapon Aptitude items and Pet Cages
The title of Golden Eggbeater (with stat bonus)!
And you may find a handful of Golden Dust 
(used to exchange for excellent rewards)
In a Silver Egg you may find:
An Invincible Pickaxe, Invincible Reaphook or Invincible Chopper (with much higher endurance comparing to normal ones)
Equipment upgrading stones (like Igneous Stones)
Mana Peaches and Sweet Candies
Fantastic Stones (used to create equipments)
Soul Talismans (used to enhance a Gene. 3 pet)
VIP items including Equip Aptitudes, Pet Cages and permanent sacks
Also you may find a handful of Silver Dust 
(used to exchange for excellent rewards)
With Golden Dust and Silver Dust you can exchange for these items at the Fairy of Wish:
A Christmas Suit (7 days): 5 Silver Dust and 1 Golden Dust
A Christmas Suit (permanent): 10 Silver Dust and 3 Golden Dust
A random outstanding zodiac pet with GREAT talents!! (multiple 1300+ stat at level 1): 20 Silver Dust and 5 Golden Dust (only one pet available for exchange on every line!! So you need to hurry up!!!)
Game 2: Search for the Ancient Beast
During the event period every player can talk to the Ancient Beast to get Silver Eggs.
There are 2 Ancient Beasts on every line, they appear in the following maps randomly:
Bling Spring, Bling Alley, Limon District, Darkness Mountain, Dusk Forest, Soul Valley, Orchid Temple, Devil Dock, Golden Path and Maple Valley.
The Ancient Beast will give a Silver Egg to all players who talk to him and move to another random place above in 15 minutes. A player can only get one Silver Egg every 15 minutes (even if you find 2 or more beasts).
Game 3: Snowy Lake, the instance of chilliness!
This is an instance of cold and hardship with 5 bosses inside: Lord Glenn, Giant Peach, Muscular Nowt , Illusion of Alien Queen Siren and the 5th hidden boss! Players need to form a team of at least 3 to challenge them in this given sequence! Every player can only defeat every boss once every day, so every player will have a “Progress” record. The progress of a team is up to the fastest progress of all team members. For example, if you’re fresh today and joined a team with 2 bosses down and enter the instance, you can only challenge from the 3rd boss after you get into the instance.
What do we get after beating the bosses? The Golden Stones 
!
These beautiful and mystic stones are used to turn Silver Eggs into golden ones! These stones are very important to get the only pet reward!!
