Q1: How to go to the human world?

A1: Press TAB to open the map. Go to the Peach Garden and find NPC Apollo. Or you can talk to any NPC in Cloud Hall, they’ll lead you to him. He’ll take you down to the human world. Before that, don’t forget to take a gift from God of Venus. Players in a team cannot go to the human world, so please disband your team firstly if you’re in one.

 

Q2: How to get the 1st pet?

A2: From the mainline quest. At about level 5, there’ll be a quest named “Pet”. Finish this quest to get the 1st pet.

 

Q3: How to make money?

A3: There’re 2 kinds of money in ZO: coins and golds. Coins are from looting after battles and selling items to merchants. Golds are from finishing quests.

 

Q4: How to feed my pet?

A4: Pets can be fed with pet food and mob flasks with a mob captured inside.

 

Q5: How many characters in all?

A5: There’re 24 characters with 12 zodiac signs. 12 males and 12 females.

 

Q6: How to tame a wild pet?

A6: Use Tame skill to the mob in battle. Do not use mob flasks.

 

Q7: Is there any way to get double exp?

A7: Yes. You can take double exp from EXP Manager (65, 240 in Cloud City). Everyone has 9 hours of double exp per week, 1 hour for Monday to Friday and 2 hours for Saturday and Sunday, they’ll be refreshed on 00:00 every Sunday. You can take 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours in a time. If you log off after taking double exp, time consumes all the same. Besides these weekly double exp hours, we may also hold some double exp events irregularly.

 

Q8: How to learn alchemy, compose and decompose?

A8: They’re a part of living skills. Housewife (192, 199 in Cloud City) teaches them. To learn the 1st any of the living skills, you’ll consume 200 RPs, and 2000 for the 2nd one, 5000 for the 3rd one.

 

Q9: How to use living skills and how to level them up?

A9: Gathering skills like mining and herborizing require a tool, also sold by Housewife (192, 199 in Cloud City). The objects to gather are outside the villages and cities. Composing and decomposing are operated also at Housewife. All you need to do to level a skill up is to use it.

 

Q10: At what level can I learn the 1st skill?

A10: Right after your character is created. You can find a skill book of “Holy Attack”, right click this skill book and then confirm.

 

Q11: I want to tame a wild monster so I capture it with a mob flask, what should I do next?

A11: A mob captured by a flask cannot be released, it can only be used as pet food. This is the wrong way to tame a wild monster, please use tame skill in the battle.

 

Q12: Why my pet doesn’t show up in battles?

A12: 2 possible causes: pet’s health too low or pet’s level too high (5 levels more than you or higher).

 

Q13: How does a pet learn skills?

A13: Pets can learn skills from pet skill books.

 

Q14: How to define it if a pet is good or not?

A14: Open the pet panel and then click “Pet Talent” to view the pet’s attributes. Pets with high figures are better.

 

Q15: Why can’t I catch a mob with a mob flask?

A15: That depends on mob’s level and flask’s level. Flask level 1 can be used to catch a mob at level 1~9. Flask level 2 can be used to catch a mob at level 11~19, and so on.

 

Q16: Can you explain about the M/A system and marriage system?

A16: A player at or above level 40 can be a mentor of another player under level 40. When the apprentice reaches level 40, he graduates and both of them earn renown points. The marriage system requires a male and a female. They have to be buddy first, then form a team and level up together to accumulate their friendship. When it reaches a certain level, they are allowed to take a marriage quest, and become couples after finishing this quest.

 

Q17: How to gain renown points?

A17: By finishing quests, killing mobs or just keep staying online.

 

Q18: Why can’t I get the rewards from a quest?

A18: Probably not enough spaces for the rewards in your pack.

 

Q19: Where can I find piggies and piggy leaders?

A19: They re-spawn at random coordinates in some maps, please explore by yourselves.

 

Q20: Can I change my pet’s name? How? And how many times can I do if I can?

A20: Yes you can. Just open the pet panel, click the pet’s name, rewrite it with a new one and confirm. The number of times is not limited.

 

Q21: Is there any advantage to fight with a pet of my zodiac sign comparing with other pets?

A21: No such advantages. Please choose a pet with higher state points or whatever you like.

 

Q22: How to leave a pet booth?

A22: Open the pet panel and click “Booth” on the bottom left.

 

Q23: How to set an item for sale?

A23: Leave a pet booth firstly. Then double click the pet to open a booth window. Drag something you want to sell into the bottom left block of the booth window, set a price in gold column, then click “For Sale”. Or you can simply right click an item to set the price with booth window opened. The “End” bottom is for use to close the booth.

 

Q24: How can I get skill cards?

A24: By finishing card quests (every character can do 5 card quests at most per day).

A28: Yes. In most cases there won’t be problems. But it is still recommended that you run this game on Windows XP.

 

Q29: What’s the maximum character level in Final Closed-beta test?

Q30: How many characters can I create on a server?

A30: You can create at most 3 characters on a server in an account.

 

Q31: How many elements can be customized when creating a new character?

Q32: What is the requirement of a character name?

A32: Please use 4 – 16 numerals or letters or their combinations. Some inelegant words are not allowed.

 

Q33: What’s the upper limit of the golds and coins for a character to take?

A33: 270 million each.

 

Q34: How do state points work?

A34: Any state point (STR, VIT, INT, DEX) affects all abilities. But they have their specialties. Like STR affects damage output more than other abilities; DEX affects less damage but more hit rate, dodging rate and attack priority.

 

Q35: How many state points can I get from a level? Are they allocated by me or by the system automatically?

A35: 4 state points every level which can be allocated freely by yourself.

 

Q36: How do attributes (ATK, AP, DEF, HIT, DODGE, MA and MDEF) work in a battle?

A36: A character with higher ATK deals more damage, a character with higher DEF absorbs more damage, a character with higher AP (attack priority) has a bigger chance to attack firstly, and so on.

 

Q37: Is there any difference between newly created characters?

A37: Yes, depends on the aptitude you chose.

 

Q38: Can I re-allocate my state points? Is there any limits or penalties?

A38: Yes you can re-allocate all state points by using an Attribute Reset Scroll (sold on the in-game mall). No limits on number of times or penalties.

 

Q39: How many players can I invite into a team?

A39: 5 players at most in a team.

 

Q40: Is there any way to gain exp except for fighting against mobs?

A40: Yes, to do quests for example.

 

Q41: How to gain rage points and how to use them?

A41: Players gain rage slowly by being online. A good sleep in the inn will also fully restore your rage. Rage points are used to chat in world channel and to cast living skills.

 

Q42: Can weapons upgrade? How if they can?

A42: Yes, you can upgrade your weapon in 3 ways.

1. Compose with soul weapons.

2. Inset gems.

3. 3 weapons of the same level, name and quality can be used to create another new weapon.

Q43: Are armors usable by all characters?

A43: A character can’t put on an armor of the different gender.

 

Q44: Can armors upgrade? How if they can?

A44: Yes, you can upgrade your armors in 2 ways.

1. Upgrade using gems.

Q45: Will the shape of the weapon/armor change after upgraded?

A45: No, but a +4 or above weapon glows.

 

Q46: Do weapons and armors have different item levels?

A46: Yes, 3 levels. Normal, Elite and Unique, as marked behind their name.

 

Q47: Can I view other players’ equipments? Can I hide my equipments from viewing by others?

A47: You can view other players’ equipment by right clicking them and choose “View”. You can’t hide your equipments.

 

Q48: What is the durability of an equipment?

A48: The durability decreases by attacking (for weapons) or being attacked (for armors). When the durability goes down to zero, the equipment is broken and you have to repair it at any blacksmith to use it again. Or you can repair your weapons at any time before it’s broken.

 

Q49: How can I get equipments?

A49: Normally by doing quests, treasure hunting, composing and purchasing from NPCs.

 

Q50: How to move?

A50: you can click on the ground or on the map (press TAB to open) to move there.

 

Q51: Can I customize the key configurations?

A51: You can’t customize the key configurations but you can change the item or skill for shortcut F2 – F8.

 

Q52: How many resolution plans can I choose from?

A52: Only one, window mode 800 * 600.

 

Q53: Can I run multiple clients on a computer?

A53: Yes you can.

 

Q54: Can I close some of the chat channels optionally?

A54: Yes you can. Please click the channel button on the bottom left and then disable the channels you want to close in the pop up list.

 

Q55: Can I customize the word size and color in chat window?

A55: You can customize the color, but can’t do it to word size. Also you can sent emotions into chat window.

 

Q56: Can I move by keyboard operations?

A56: No, you can only use mouse to move.

 

Q57: Can I customize the user interface in Zodiac Online? Such as the position of my avatar and chat wizard?

A57: The position of most panel windows like Pack window and Team window can be adjusted, but those interface you’ve mentioned cannot be.

 

Q58: Which side attacks firstly in a battle?

A58: That depends on the attack priority.

 

Q59: Can I use shortcuts in a battle?

A59: Yes, shortcuts in a battle are the same as normal.

 

Q60: There’s an auto fighting system?

A60: Yes. You can set the number of auto fighting rounds, 30 as the default.

 

Q61: Is there a success rate for fleeing from a battle?

A61: Yes.

 

Q62: How to use medicines to give myself a first aid during a battle?

A62: Click Item on the main battle menu, choose the item you want to use and then choose a target. Also you can use shortcuts, just like usual.

 

Q63: How to learn skills?

A63: Normally by using skill books. You have to meet the requirements of a skill to learn it. Any skill is not compatible with the other 2 skills in the same class of the same page.

 

Q64: How many skill books can we get from NPC merchants?

A64: All class 1 skill books and class 2 skill books. Class 1 skill books are sold at Cloud City, while Class 2 skill books are sold at Goal Manor.

 

Q65: What is skill proficiency for?

A65: When the proficiency reaches the required value, the skill level goes up by 1.

 

Q66: Since I can have 3 or more pets, how many of them can participate a battle at the same time?

A66: Only one of them. But you can call back a pet and summon another one in a battle.

 

Q67: Does pet’s attacking power affected by player’s state or attributes?

A67: No. Pet’s state and attributes affect itself.

 

Q68: Do pets have their own equipments?

A68: Yes they have.

 

Q69: Is there any penalty if a pet died or fled from a battle?

A69: Every time a pet participates a battle, its health goes down by 1. If it died or fled, there’ll be 10 additional health decrement.

 

Q70: Is there any restricts for recovery items like level requirements?

A70: there’s no level requirements. The only restrict is, some of the items can be used to provide a first aid in a battle (like most of the medicines), the others cannot (like food).

 

Q71: Players can create medicines by themselves?

A71: Yes. Players can gather herbs from the field and then process them into medicines. Living skill Alchemy and herborizing required.

 

Q72: Is there any security measure for the valuables in the game?

A72: Yes, you can bind them to avoid trading them to others by mistake.

 

Q73: Why can’t I use Portal Stones?

A73: Maybe you’re currently in a team. Players in a team cannot use Portal Stones. Please quit firstly.

 

Q74: Is there a limit on the amount of my buddy list? Can I add an offline player into my buddy list?

A74: Your buddy list has a limit of 100 buddies. You cannot add an offline player. To add a player into your buddy list, please right click him/her and choose Add Friends.

 

Q75: How much information of a buddy can I get from my buddy list?

A75: You can get known about his/her character name, level, zodiac sign and title.

 

Q76: How to trade with other players?

A76: Right click him/her and choose Trade to open a trade window. Right click the item you want to trade or drag it onto your trade window, then click OK. When both of you clicked OK, you’ll need to click Final Confirm to finish the trade. If you want to trade golds, enter the number of golds into the column above and click Refresh.

 

Q77: Any other dealing measure?

A77: Yes you can leave a pet booth to sell your stuff while you can do whatever you want in anywhere. Please click the Pet panel and then click Booth to set a pet booth.

 

Q78: What do I need to create a guild?

A78: Level 30 and 2 million golds.

 

Q79: How many members can a guild have?

A79: That depends on the guild level. A guild at higher level can have more members.

 

Q80: How many blocks are there in my sack?

A80: 20 blocks. You can buy VIP sacks from the mall to carry more stuff.

 

Q81: How many blocks are there in my warehouse?

A81: 30 blocks. You can access your warehouse at Chelyn (122, 279) in Cloud City.

 

Q82: Is there any additional state bonus after I got married?

A82: No but, the couples have some skills which can only be casted on the spouse.

 

Q83: How to get soul equipments?

A83: Firstly you have to get a complete treasure map, and then find the hidden treasure box follow the guide on the map. There’s a chance to get a soul equipment from the box.

 

Q84: How to put on an equipment?

A84: Open your sack and right click the equipment you want to put on. Mind the requirements of the equipment if you cannot put it on.

 

Q85: How to post a link of my stuff into chat window?

A85: Right click an item with the left Shift key pressed.

 

Q86: How to delete a skill of mine?

A86: Only mall items (like Strength Skill Reset Tripods) can do this.

 

Q87: How to get a title of Deserter?

A87: Flee from the battle for 100 times.
